Deeside Timberframe Secures Two New Projects with CALA Homes

Deeside Timberframe is thrilled to announce two exciting new project wins with CALA Homes, further strengthening our partnership and showcasing the growing demand for timber frame construction. These projects, both private residential developments, highlight the versatility and efficiency of timber frame solutions in delivering modern, sustainable housing at scale.

Longbanks Green, Dunbar

The first of these projects is CALA Longbanks Green in Dunbar, East Lothian. This development will feature a contemporary selection of 4 and 5-bedroom detached homes, perfectly positioned to take advantage of Dunbar’s scenic surroundings. A total of 78 homes will be built, utilising our offsite-manufactured timber frame kits. The speed of construction and sustainability that timber frame offers will play a key role in ensuring this development is delivered on time and with minimal environmental impact.

East Millgate Lawns, Winchburgh

Our second project is CALA East Millgate Lawns in Winchburgh, another exciting development comprising 113 new homes. This site is unique in that it’s the first phase of CALA’s Winchburgh developments to include three-bedroom homes. As part of our ongoing collaboration with CALA, we’re proud to be providing the structural timber frame kits for these homes, ensuring high build quality and energy efficiency throughout.

Why Timber Frame?

Timber frame construction is gaining significant traction in the housing sector due to its ability to meet modern regulatory standards, such as Part L and Passivhaus, and deliver sustainable solutions more efficiently than traditional brick-and-block methods. Our offsite manufacturing process ensures faster build times, with reduced waste and increased precision. In the context of the UK’s growing housing demand, timber frame is emerging as a vital component in meeting both sustainability targets and housing quotas.
